I tried to change my Driver's License (DL) yesterday... I went to a location that is KNOWN for being slow...why, I don't know... but I was hopeful... I went in and waited in line for probably 30-45 mins. YES... that long. Once through the line, I was handed a ticket... I don't remember but it was like A448 and they were on like A375... TOO LONG to wait... but, I waited... 20 more mins and they had only called like 5 numbers. So, needless to say I was OUT of there. Plus, I was already late for work by 10 mins... no good!
Ok, today... I went to a location that is KNOWN for being FAST!!! :) YAY! I went through the line, and was about half way to the front... (at this place, the front is the front, no getting a ticket number and waiting... you get to the front and you get the job done - love it)... I then I realize (and read) that you have to pay with cash or check only... NO credit cards or debit cards... which is all I had! So, I got out of line and went to the nearest ATM down the street at a gas station... got the money and made my way back. I would've been next up if I had had cash on me... but I seriously only waited like 30 mins. NICE!
The second half of what I was trying to get done today: Social Security Number Card. UGGH! I left my prefilled form at home, so I had to grab in on the way... not too much time was lost, but I wish I would've gotten to the SSN place earlier! I got there at 11:30am and they were on A61... I was A110... I wasn't called until like 12:55pm - I waited for 1 1/2 hours!!! I'm glad I wasn't almost late to work again today...
Oh well, at least it's done... do you see why it's a tango??
Next up to change... passport, bank accounts, insurance accounts, car payments, etc... etc... etc...
When does it end?? :) oh well... it's worth it all to be married to D :)

oh i know!! people don't tell you about those things once you're getting married. they conveniently forget to tell you how much it sucks to be a female getting married because you have to wait in 5 bazillion lines and change your name 5 trillion times on so many different documents. -sigh- why can't it all just change automatically when you go to the social security office!?
