It's all in the DETAILS

I thought I'd start out with some details...

A LOT, and I mean A LOT, of the details were won on blog contests... maybe I should do a post on everything I won - it was amazing... I'll post links to all of the information about my "details"...

my dress :) I got a pretty hanger from the container store the day before just for this :)

shoe pics :) these were the second pair I bought... the first were WAY too uncomfortable!

our custom invites that I won 50% off from Jaime Kae Paper Studio in a blog contest :)

love these ring shots :) rings both from J. Keith Jewelers in Lubbock, TX - D went to Texas Tech :)

our custom made guest book... I got this because it matched our "M" monogram theme (which we used on our invitations and cake topper as well!)

Our Ring Bearer Pillow which I ALSO won on a blog contest :)

don't get me wrong... I loved my bouquet, but she used a wrong flower, where you see the black-eyed flowers with the white petals (don't know the name... if anyone does I would love you for it!) she was supposed to use ranunculus... :( oh, well, no one knew but me... it still is lovely!

now on to the reception... here were the main head tables centerpieces... there were 2 on a long rectangle table.

the green runners were rented through Austin Party Central... they are actually chair sashes (cheaper - .95 compared to $4.95) that we ran down the tables :)

these were used at the church, on the stage, and on the buffet tables - double duty :)

BRIDALS!!!

I know I said wedding pictures by the end of the week... but Bridals are a good choice too right?? :)

April 4th, my mom and I made our way to the Dallas Arboretum - our photographer lives there and I knew the place was PERFECT!!! :)

That day was so much fun!!

Name Change Tango...

Or at least, that's what I'm calling it...

I tried to change my Driver's License (DL) yesterday... I went to a location that is KNOWN for being slow...why, I don't know... but I was hopeful... I went in and waited in line for probably 30-45 mins. YES... that long. Once through the line, I was handed a ticket... I don't remember but it was like A448 and they were on like A375... TOO LONG to wait... but, I waited... 20 more mins and they had only called like 5 numbers. So, needless to say I was OUT of there. Plus, I was already late for work by 10 mins... no good!

Ok, today... I went to a location that is KNOWN for being FAST!!! :) YAY! I went through the line, and was about half way to the front... (at this place, the front is the front, no getting a ticket number and waiting... you get to the front and you get the job done - love it)... I then I realize (and read) that you have to pay with cash or check only... NO credit cards or debit cards... which is all I had! So, I got out of line and went to the nearest ATM down the street at a gas station... got the money and made my way back. I would've been next up if I had had cash on me... but I seriously only waited like 30 mins. NICE!

The second half of what I was trying to get done today: Social Security Number Card. UGGH! I left my prefilled form at home, so I had to grab in on the way... not too much time was lost, but I wish I would've gotten to the SSN place earlier! I got there at 11:30am and they were on A61... I was A110... I wasn't called until like 12:55pm - I waited for 1 1/2 hours!!! I'm glad I wasn't almost late to work again today...

Oh well, at least it's done... do you see why it's a tango??

Next up to change... passport, bank accounts, insurance accounts, car payments, etc... etc... etc...

When does it end?? :) oh well... it's worth it all to be married to D :)

ONE MONTH!

To my wonderful husband:

Even though a month isn't a *long* time - I have loved EVERY minute of being your wife!

You have taught me so much in these few short weeks and I love you!
Can't wait to continue the many more months we'll have together!

I totally haven't posted in a whole week... lo siento mis amigos :) haha!

But, I have some GOOD news! BECAUSE... we got our Wedding pictures this week!!! WAHOO!!

Be on the lookout for my favs next week. I will not be posting them all because there are almost 800 images... so yea... just my favs... which is probably a lot too... anyways...
