I had my very FIRST dress fitting on V-Day. I was so excited to go... but it soon faded when I realized how much alterations are!!! gees! I was also told I needed to wear a bustier... which I wasn't planning on. Now, I had to buy yet something else... oh well... I know it's going to fit like a glove!
The excitement also faded because I am self-conscious in one area of my body. It's nothing I can really change... it is the way I am... uh ummm - you know - the girls :) I was just really blessed and I dont really like it. But, hey God made me this way and I shouldn't complain. But, regardless, I'm self-conscious and kept thinking that it showed to much and I didn't like it. So, I was a little frustated about that.
I hope that when I go next (March 7) that I will feel a lot better about it all! I love my dress - don't get me wrong... just wish my body worked the way I wanted it to (up there) :)
Ok - enough of that nonsense.
Our church has planned us a shower - my very FIRST shower - for March 29th! I CANNOT WAIT!
We're meeting with a possible DJ tomorrow - I really hope it works out.
In 3 weekends I think (the same weekend I do my next fitting) we're going to have the men measure for tuxes - that's exciting! we'll probably also do a tasting soon and block rooms for OOT guests.
I'm also working on invitation wording for our invitations and should get those MARCH 10th - it is coming ladies!!! AHHH!
So, here's where I'm at:
- Feb. 18: send invitation wording
- Feb 19: DJ meeting
- March 7: fitting
- March 7: tuxes
- March 7/8: tasting
- March 7/8: block OOT guest rooms at hotel
- March 10: receive invitations!
- March 29: Shower
- April 4: Bridal Portraits!!!!
I need to look for a "going-away" dress while I'm at it :)
I'll leave you with this:

Yay for your first dress fitting and first shower! Alteration pricings are outrageous. I had to get my bridesmaid dress altered and ummm...how much again. Luckily mom knows a great seamtress who can alter it for half the price.
how exciting you're getting so much stuff done!! i left you an award to pick up on my blog :)
Yay! How fun! Is there anything your seamstress can do to minimize the "girls" to make you feel more comfortable? Whatever the expense, I think you'll be very excited if you feel more comfortable that day!
You are on a roll!
